Brooke Shields gave a candid peek into her life behind the scenes while promoting her haircare line, Commence. The 59 year old said she is always tired as a mother and business owner after an Instagram follower asked how her soul was feeling.

Brooke added that she hardly gets any sleep but finds comfort in the things that matter the most, which are family and their well-being. The mother of two also acknowledged her new black and white puppy named Tuzi, which she got after losing her former pup, Pepper, last year.

Brooke admitted to facing pushbacks and struggles in her business and finances, however, friends and family and even her new puppy messing up the house give her a joyous escape from harsh realities. She concluded by encouraging the curious fan who asked the question with kind words and wished her the best.

As an honorable mention, Brooke’s husband, Chris Henchy, has also been supportive, and they bond over their mutual love for dogs. She expressed her gratitude for the love that has come to her in adulthood after her traumatic upbringing as a Hollywood child star exposed her to sexual harassment. Motherhood and business

Brooke is a proud mother of two adults, Rowan Francis Henchy and Grier Hammond Henchy, who she regards as confident and free. They came after Brooke and Chris spent years trying to conceive with seven rounds of fertility treatments. About two decades later, Grier is currently pursuing a modeling career, while Rowan attended college at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Brooke has also created her haircare business which is focused on addressing the hair concerns of women from 40 and above. She deliberately narrowed down her target market because she wants to connect with women her age range through uniquely curated products which include the 2-in-1 instant shampoo, 3-in-1 leave-in conditioner and thickening root serum.
