“Over 5,000 people packed Wat Botum Park and the surrounding streets to witness the iconic luxury cars and the excitement of the rally, which was making its first-ever stop in Cambodia. The crowd enjoyed spectacular performances by both local and international artists, with DJs spinning energetic sets that kept everyone on their feet. The Gumball 3000, famous for blending high-end vehicles with celebrity appearances and live entertainment, lived up to its reputation despite Ishowspeed’s absence. Maximillion Cooper, founder of the rally, expressed his excitement and gratitude for the support from Phnom Penh’s people.
“We had an amazing crowd today, and the energy in Phnom Penh has been incredible,” said Cooper. “I’m really happy with how everything has come together, and I’m looking forward to visiting Siem Reap next. Cambodia has shown tremendous support, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
Minister of Tourism Sok Soken was also in attendance, and he too praised the successful turnout, commending the warm reception the rally received from the Cambodian public.
“The Cambodian people have really embraced this event, and it’s wonderful to see the level of support and enthusiasm for such a high-profile international occasion,” Sok Soken said. “This is not only a great moment for Phnom Penh but also an important opportunity to showcase Cambodia as a destination for global events like Gumball 3000.”
